Two decades of delivery. From the streets of Kabul to the halls of Virginia — this is how Blue Sky Global was built.
Blue Sky Construction Company Ltd. was established in 2004 in Kabul, Afghanistan — a country in the middle of one of the most significant reconstruction efforts of the modern era. The founders saw not just a business opportunity, but a genuine responsibility: to help rebuild a nation while delivering real value to the international community investing in its future.
From the very beginning, the company's primary focus was on serving U.S. government-funded projects and U.S. Armed Forces operations. This required not only construction expertise, but a deep understanding of American standards, compliance requirements, and the unique demands of working in a complex, high-stakes environment.
What started as a small construction firm quickly earned a reputation for one thing above all else: we delivered what we promised, on time, every time.
"Upholding the highest standards has always been at the core of our operations — a principle that continues to define our work to this day."
Within the first two years of operations, Blue Sky had already completed a remarkable range of projects — demonstrating versatility, reliability, and the ability to handle simultaneous contracts across different types of work.
Early projects included construction at the Kabul Military Training Center (KMTC), one of Afghanistan's most strategically important military installations. The company constructed accommodation structures, protective walls, storage facilities, and pavilions — earning its first formal recognition from the Department of Defense.
Simultaneously, Blue Sky undertook community-focused projects — building a school for local families, digging water wells, and repairing a major regional hospital. This dual commitment to government service and community impact became a defining characteristic of how the company operated.
As the company's track record grew, so did the scale and complexity of the work awarded. Blue Sky expanded operations far beyond Kabul, taking on significant construction and logistics contracts across multiple provinces — operating in environments that most contractors would not enter.
This period saw Blue Sky serve as a construction and logistics partner at some of Afghanistan's most important military installations — including Camp Alamo, Camp Phoenix, Camp Dubs, Camp Blackhorse, and FOB Lightning in Gardez Province. The scope of work ranged from constructing living quarters and maintenance facilities to building reinforced concrete bunkers and installing critical electrical infrastructure.
At FOB Lightning in Paktya Province, Blue Sky constructed a complete Vehicle Maintenance Facility and 20 reinforced concrete bunkers — completed ahead of schedule and commended by the U.S. Army for quality superior to that of comparable contractors. The Department of the Army issued a formal Letter of Recommendation designating Blue Sky as the primary contractor for future construction projects in the region.
A significant milestone came with the Camp Blackhorse expansion project (April–September 2008) — a multi-phase effort that expanded the camp's capacity, parking area, and force protection infrastructure. Completed on time with minimal discrepancies, the project earned a formal commendation from the ARSIC-C Commander and a recommendation for all future projects in the area.
Blue Sky was never just a construction company. From early in its history, the leadership made a deliberate choice to invest in the communities surrounding its projects — recognizing that true nation-building required more than infrastructure.
Throughout its operations, the company established and funded several community programs that operated independently of any government contract.
In 2017, the founders of Blue Sky relocated to the United States — bringing with them 13 years of documented project delivery, a portfolio of government recognitions, and an unmatched understanding of what it takes to serve demanding clients in complex environments.
The decision to establish in the United States was a natural evolution. The leadership team had spent over a decade working alongside U.S. government agencies, military commands, and federal contractors. They understood the standards, the culture, and the expectations — and they were ready to bring that experience to the American market.
Blue Sky Global LLC was established in Virginia as a U.S.-based construction, supply, and logistics company — with a founding team that combines U.S. military leadership, international construction expertise, and deep operational experience in government contracting.
Blue Sky Global LLC is a Virginia-based small business actively pursuing federal and government contracting opportunities — both domestically and internationally. Our leadership team brings together a retired U.S. Army Colonel with Corps of Engineers experience, and co-founders with two decades of international construction and logistics delivery.
We are actively preparing to pursue and execute contracts at every level — subcontracting arrangements, teaming opportunities with established prime contractors, and direct government contracts — both within the United States and internationally.
Our international network — particularly in the Middle East (UAE, Oman, Qatar) — positions us uniquely for U.S. government contracts that require international reach, regional knowledge, and proven logistics capability in complex environments.
"We are not starting from scratch. We are bringing two decades of proven delivery, a documented track record, and the relationships that matter — to a new market that needs exactly what we offer."
Blue Sky Global's vision is straightforward: to become a trusted, recognized federal contractor delivering construction, supply, and logistics services for U.S. government agencies and their partners — at home and wherever American interests require support internationally.
